Herts Young Homeless is a remarkable charity that strives to bring about meaningful and lasting change by promoting social inclusion for homeless young individuals in Hertfordshire.

Their groundbreaking initiative, known as the Future Roots project, aims to furnish a six-bedroom house to create a nurturing and supportive environment for young people as they transition into independent living. This project will play a crucial role in providing advice, support, and guidance to help these individuals overcome their emotional, social, and practical challenges. It will empower them to achieve personal and financial stability, as well as the necessary confidence required to live independently. Recognizing the significance of this project, Eurovia was eager to offer both financial and practical support.

Last week, our Social Value Manager, Gemma Holmes, and EST Hertfordshire Project Manager, Stevie Butcher, paid a visit to the Future Roots house. They met with Caroline and her team to discuss the progress of the project and had the opportunity to explore the house and meet some of the young residents.

As a sponsor of the Vinci Foundation, Gemma will continue to collaborate with Maureen and Caroline from Herts Young Homeless. Together, they will organize a team of volunteers from Eurovia to assist with renovations at the Future Roots property. Additionally, Eurovia will provide ongoing support to the Herts Young Homeless team and explore potential apprenticeship and work shadowing opportunities for the young individuals currently being supported by the charity.
