Eurovia are LLA Award winners for 2023

Our "Warm mix asphalt monitoring using thermal imaging technology" submission won an award in the environment category - Energy Efficiency.

The judging panel commented:

"Championing the use of sustainable materials, Eurovia has raised the standards of quality assurance by validating the use of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) as a low carbon high-performance material for road surfacing applications.

"Capturing data from multiple sensors, including: environmental monitoring; thermal profiling; and thermal scanning, the team validated the use of WMA in real-time. The project has reassured its client by verifying the use of WMA as a high-performance material, and demonstrated the use of automated quality assurance technology for the construction of longer lasting and carbon friendly highways schemes."
